When you sign in with Google or Apple, your TanSmarter account will be pre-filled with your name and profile picture. We collect information by lawful and transparent means, with your knowledge and consent, and we will explain why we are collecting it and how it will be used.
We collect location data solely to determine UV index at your location for personalized tanning recommendations. This data is processed in real-time and is not stored permanently on our servers.
2. Data Retention
We retain collected information only for as long as necessary to provide you with your requested services. We securely store any data we retain to protect it against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.
3. Data Sharing
We do not share any personally identifying information publicly or with third parties, except as required by law. We may use third-party weather services to fetch UV index data based on your location. This location data is sent securely and used solely for the purpose of providing accurate UV information.

The TanSmarter app may contain links to external sites that are not operated by us. Please be aware that we have no control over the content or privacy practices of these sites and cannot accept responsibility or liability for their privacy policies.
5. Location Data
TanSmarter uses your device location to:
- Fetch accurate UV index data for your current location
- Provide personalized tanning session recommendations
- Calculate optimal tanning times based on local conditions
Location access is only used when you initiate a tanning session or check UV conditions. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings, though this will limit app functionality.
6. Your Choice
You are free to refuse our request for personal information, understanding that this may prevent us from providing some features of the app. Location access is required for core app functionality but you retain full control over when to grant this access.
